Digital notarization is a secure, online process where documents are notarized remotely using advanced technology and video conferencing, making it convenient and legally binding.
Yes, digital notarization is legally valid in all 50 states and is recognized by courts, government agencies, and businesses nationwide.
Most documents can be notarized online, including real estate documents, legal contracts, power of attorney forms, wills, business agreements, and more.
The entire digital notarization process typically takes 5-10 minutes from start to finish, including document upload and notary verification.
You'll need a valid government-issued ID, a computer or mobile device with camera and microphone, and the document you want to notarize in PDF format.
Your browser connects over TLS (HTTPS). The notary workflow is completed in DocuSign’s environment; follow DocuSign’s security documentation for session specifics. ClaimSaver+ stored files use TLS in transit and our storage provider’s standard protections for data at rest. We do not claim HIPAA certification.
